MWApp — installing it on your phone

There is no need to look for the app in the App Store or Google Play. It installs straight from your browser in five steps.

The app’s address: app.imwirsa.org

Android

Samsung, Xiaomi, Huawei, Google Pixel and other phones

  1. Open the Chrome browser
  2. Type in the address app.imwirsa.org

  3. Tap the three dots ⋮ at the top right
  4. Choose “Install app”
    On some phones this is called “Add to Home screen”

  5. Tap “Install” in the window that appears

iPhone / iPad

iOS and iPadOS

  1. Open the Safari browser
    Safari specifically. You cannot install from Chrome on an iPhone — Apple only allows Safari to do this.
  2. Type in the address app.imwirsa.org
  3. Tap the Share button — the square with an arrow pointing up, at the bottom of the screen

  4. Scroll down the list and choose “Add to Home Screen”

  5. Tap “Add” at the top right

After installing — two things that matter

Do these straight away, while you still have a connection. In port there may be no internet at all.

Signing in The app is in closed testing. You need a username and a password to sign in — IMWIRSA issues these.
Open the app once while you have internet It will load the port data into your phone’s memory and will work without a connection from then on.
Allow access to your location When the app asks, tap “Allow”. Without it you cannot mark where your ship is berthed or get a route back to it.
